Washington University in St. Louis' 156th Commencement Ceremony takes place Friday, May 19, beginning at 8:30a in Brookings Quadrangle on the Danforth Campus. Anna Quindlen, a best-selling author, Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, and social critic, will give the 2017 Commencement address.

Guests who wish to remain indoors during Commencement can find closed-circuit viewing at the following accessible locations located near Brookings Quadrangle:

Brown Hall, Room 100
Busch Hall, Room 100
Danforth University Center, Tisch Commons

If the weather is sufficiently threatening and compromising safety, the undergraduate ceremony will be moved indoors to the Athletic Complex, and the ceremonies for all graduate and professional degrees will be held at the times and places listed for their individual recognition ceremonies. Updates on the severe weather plan will be posted on the Commencement website by 7a on the morning of Commencement.

The ceremony will also be streamed online and accessible via the Commencement home page.
